The season premiere and the episode following will introduce a lot of new recurring characters and regulars. Here is, in point form, the casting spoilers that was gathered about episodes 2.01 and 2.02 of Season 2 of Heroes:
The yet-to-be-titled Season 2 premiere will introduce new series regular Maya, a Hispanic woman in her mid 20s. Could she be linked with Alejandro who’ll recur next season?
The episode will also introduce Kane, a recurring character that may become a possible regular. This man in his late 20s is referred, in the info we were given, as an ageless American with an European feel. He is said to be a charming womanizer who as a soul that seems to be older than he appears to be.
A new Japanese recurring female character will be named Princess Keriyama.
A few high school characters living in California will be added to the recurring cast. They are: Gay cheerleader April; charming 18-year-old West, who doesn’t fit in much; May, a mean cheerleader high schooler.
Other recurring characters making their first appearances in the premiere are: Georgie and Blackie, two Irish thieves, who are under orders of 45ish ringleader Ricky; friendly 40-year-old mild-mannered Bob who is said to be the “unassuming face of a very powerful organization”; NYPD detective Kincaid.
The second episode will introduce new regular Monica. She is a beautiful African-American in her late 20s. She is very kind to people and always thinks of them before taking care of herself.
Peter and Nathan are still alive so is Matt. However, it looks like D.L. is dead (if he isn’t, he won’t be doing much this season).
A character will die in the season premiere.
Ando will be traveling between Japan and New York. There will also be some sort of connection between Hiro and him.
Hiro will spend part of the season in the past where he’ll interact with a Caucasian Samurai and a princess.
The Bennets are back together and have relocated in California. Claire will go back to cheerleading and acting like a teen. She’ll be dating West, a new Hero who can fly. Claire will start to control her powers so much that she’ll use them unconsciously.
In order to “fix something” (we don’t know what yet), Niki will leave Micah behind. The woman will eventually cross paths with Claire.
We will meet Nana, grandmother to new character Monica and Micah’s great-aunt. She will take care of the two youngsters in her once-flooded New Orleans home.
A new character named Elle will make her first appearance around the fifth episode. She is said to have ties to the supposed death of Peter, H.R.G.’s past and the future of Claire.
Peter will be held up in a cage/cell.
Sophie, a new character said to be dangerous, will be introduced this season. She works for a powerful group. It is unknown if said group is one we’ve seen before.
Expect more future-telling paintings.
