Aside from hosting the game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” on TV5, comedian-TV host Vic Sotto is bringing to the Ka-Shake network the spin-off of his movie “Ang Darling Kong Aswang” — the sitcom “My Darling Kong Aswang.”

It can be recalled that “Ang Darling Kong Aswang” was Bossing Vic’s 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival entry that placed third in the box office behind Bong Revilla’s “Ang Panday” and Angelica Panganiban’s “I Love You, Goodbye.” With some titular and casting tweaks, “My Darling Kong Aswang” could become a ratings goldmine for the soon-to-launch network owned by business tycoon Manny V. Pangilinan.
“My Darling Kong Aswang” will star Vic, with leading lady Daiana Menezes. In the movie, Cristine Reyes, who’s very much a Kapamilya talent, was the Eat Bulaga host’s aswang darling. Vic used to have a sitcom on GMA-7, Ful Haus, but was cancelled and replaced by the Manny Pacquiao-Marian Rivera sitcom “Show Me Da Manny.”
The new sitcom of Vic on TV5 is produced by his very own M-Zet Productions.
