Neil’s interview is next. He says that he started dancing when he was five, but didn’t decide that he wanted to be a dancer until high school. He did gymnastics until sixth grade, which explains a lot about his moves and flexibility.
He liked the angel and devil piece choreographed by Wade Robson the best, and thought the salsa and tango were the worst.
The girls are screaming for Neil’s solo, set to “Gravity” by Shawn McDonald. He’s dressed very simply in black pants and a black tank top. He’s got some ballet moves in his solo, and some pirouettes that will rival Danny’s. I love his leaps, and I love the passion that comes through from him.
Nigel says that Neil is a great gymnast, and now he’s linking the tricks with his dancing. Mary says that he’s been getting better and better, and tonight’s solo had a calmness and maturity that he didn’t used to have. Dan says that Neil is dynamic, and owns the stage when he’s on it.
