The popular duo M.Y.M.P. (Make Your Mama Proud) behind the hit albums Soulful Acoustic (2003), Beyond Acoustic (2005), Versions (2005), New Horizon (2006) and Now (2008) is breaking up. Yes, you read it right. Juris Fernandez and Chin Alcantara, who recently won as the Group Artist of the Year at the 1st Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Music is heading the splitsville!
The rumor was confirmed positive by talent manager Noel Ferrer and the news was later dished by Star columnist Ricky Lo. Here’s a snippet of the Funfare scoop about the reason of their break-up:
Juris quit the duo after Chin “booted” her and her manager Carla Lozada out due to disagreement over an “exposure” in the A.S.A.P. Sessionista.
Juris is slated to launch her long-overdue solo album under Star Records, with five songs produced by Chin. The other original cuts were done by Jimmy Antiporda, Ryan Cayabyab and Gary Valenciano.
But still, Juris and Chin still have commitments as a duo until end of this year and they will honor them.

sa mga tarantadong nagsasabing better si juris kay juliet: ikumpara niyo itsurat boses ni juris 10 years ago nung nagsisimula palang sya. 35 na sya, sampung taon na sa industriya wala padin syang pinagbago sa itsura at boses. bulok padin, pang amateur. si juliet 19 palang, unang video nyang lumabas 16 palang sya, nung nagchampion sya sa star of davao. sumubaybay kayo para makita nyong paganda sya ng paganda at pagaling ng pagaling. 16 palang sya lampas na sya sa talent ni juris. ni hindi makasali sa kahit anong contest si juris dahil alam nyang wala syang binatbat. ni hindi sya makapag concert kasama ni nina, kyla at sarah dahil alam nyang sapaw sya. lamang si juliet kay juris sa lahat ng aspeto pwera lang sa edad at sa numero ng lalaking kinantot. halatang in denial mga fans ni juris. puro sourgraping. walang laman mga sinasabi. halatang mga labanderat planchadora lang mga fans nya kasi napakabaduy ng mga kanta nya. teleserye themes???? yuck!!!!! the truth hurts. tanggapin nalang.

1.1 MYMP is owned, historically and legally, by Jacques “Chin” L. Alcantara.
1.2 The MYMP band’s official manager and authorized representative is Maria Teresa “Tere” S. Tinio (09065540359).
1.3 MYMP is intact and continues to perform in public, in Philippine and international venues. (Please refer to MYMP2010.com)
2) Any fraudulent claim, false announcement, misleading information, or malicious activity perpetrated in contravention of the above facts will be responded to with appropriate legal action.
3) The use of the MYMP trademark without proper authorization of its owner, like the name-dropping of the MYMP band name using such descriptive words: …FORMERLY OF MYMP…, …WAS WITH MYMP, …OF MYMP, …USED TO BE A MEMBER OF MYMP, …ONCE

taga astrovision ako. maniwala naman kayong mataas talaga ang rank ng album nung juris? e hindi nga ganon kalaki binayad ng star records kaya hindi pa siya nagnunumber 1. antayin niyo, pagkabayad ulit ng star records samin, #1 na yang album nya.

may kakilala akong dating taga star records. ginagawa daw talaga nila na maglabas ng free download pag alam nilang di masyado bebenta album. Ginagawa nila para sumikat lang artist tapos pag madami nang may alam nung song tsaka nila aawardan nang peke. o diba ang galing!

mukhang di kikita album kasi ang daming nilabas sa internet na pwede idownload na lang. Pano siguro nanghihinayang sila bumili baka masayang lang pera nila.
