October 11, 2007 Broadcast giant ABS-CBN is the preferred channel among affluent Filipinos, teens and families of overseas Filipino workers. This, according to Nielsen Media Research as it looked into the media consumption of the three market segments.
Nielsen defined the affluent as those living in posh, gated villages with income higher than P50,000 a month, while the teens are those in the 13-19 age bracket regardless of economic bracket. OFW beneficiaries, meanwhile, are those with a member of the family working abroad. The research was conducted through personal interviews, and is limited to urban areas.

October 11, 2007 Naging pahulaan sa entertainment press na dumalo sa launching ng 2nd season ng Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition kung sinu-sino ang 13 housemates na makikita sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya this Sunday, October 14.
Supposedly ay hindi na mauulit ang PBBCE dahil sa ayaw na raw ng buong staff na magkaroon sila ng kasamaan ng loob sa mga managers and parents ng sinumang celebrity na kasama, pero kinapos na raw sila ng panahon dahil masyadong humaba ang nakaraang PBB2.

ABS-CBN has done something like this before in Marina, but of course, there’s nothing like the original mermaid in local showbiz that starred the likes of Edna Luna, Vilma Santos, Eva Montes, Alma Moreno and Alice Dixson. Its last incarnation starred Charlene Gonzales. Now, they say the choices have been narrowed down between Marian Rivera and Rhian Ramos.

October 9, 2007 The apology issued by the producers of Desperate Housewives after airing that offensive remark uttered by Teri Hatcher’s character (Susan Myers) against Filipino medical practitioners in its new season pilot episode is unacceptable.
That line from the Hatcher dialogue, after all, is very damaging and is totally unfair to Filipino doctors, nurses and other professionals in the medical field who spent years studying in some of the best schools in the country.
