According to representative from Sony BMG Philippines, the record label of KC Concepcion’s “Impossible,” the song made Philippine music history after it was downloaded a million times from mobile service providers like Smart and Globe after only 4 months of release. The song is included in KC’s first and self-titled album “a.k.a. Cassandra.”

“I’d like to mention that KC has the most number of downloads ever in the Philippines. Naka 1 million mark na kami for ‘Impossible.’ Wala pang nakaka-achieve nuon. Si KC palang. Sobrang hit ang ‘Impossible’,” Vic Valenciano, Artist and Repertoire (A&R) Director of Sony BMG Philippines related in a recent interview.

Because of the huge success of the first album, Sony Music is planning to come out with KC’s second album before the end of the year (the soonest) or early next year (the latest). In the planned second album, KC will do a cut with Megastar mother Sharon Cuneta. Talagang kaabang-abang!

KC Concepcion
Born with celebrity parents won’t give you a normal life. Every person is interested in everything you say, everything you do, or every move that you take. You just can’t move away from the shadows of your celebrity parents. Just like when Maria Kristina Cassandra Concepcion(more popularly known as KC Concepcion) was born. The whole Philippines followed her since her birth to Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion until she entered showbiz as a child. All eyes was centered to her and wondered if she could be at par with her parent’s popularity in show business.
But KC decided to move away from the limelight and lived a normal life, just like the other girls at her age. She concentrated on her studies until she graduated high school. Just when everybody expected her to go back to mainstream showbiz, she flew to Paris, France to pursue her college studies and took up International Corporate Communications with a minor in Theatre Arts. She graduated in 2007.
KC and her family planned to pursue her studies in the United States right after her graduation in Paris. But the call of showbiz didn’t allow her to push through with her plan. When she went back home in the Philippines, TV, movie and commercial offers greeted her.
With an artist’s blood running into her veins, she was not able to resist those offers and finally made herself available in the limelight again. She signed up with TV giant ABS-CBN to guide her showbiz career. To date, she’s done a lot of TV shows such as “KC: From Paris to Pinas”, “Maalaala Mo Kaya: Mansyon”, “I Am KC” and the upcoming Lovers In Paris with Piolo Pascual.
KC2Her first movie “For The First Time” with Richard Gutierrez is certified box-office hit as it occupies the top 3 position for the Philippines’ 2008 box office record for local movies. A sequel for the said movie, titled “When I Met You” is scheduled to hit the big screen on February of 2009 and is also expected to break box office records again.
With the popularity KC is gaining nowadays, her kind heart still beats for the poor. She made herself available when she was appointed by the United Nations as the World Programme Ambassador in the Philippines. Just recently, she attended Clinton Global Initiative as part of her duty as National Ambassador Against Hunger.
With her accomplishments and for more to come, all I can say, KC Concepcion is a complete woman and a role model for every Filipino youth to follo
