Halle Berry, who won an Oscar for her role in ‘Monster’s Ball’ is pregnant with her first child.
The 41-year-old actress, who followed her 2002 Academy Award win with the disastrous ‘Catwoman’, made the announcement to the ‘Access Hollywood’ TV show on Tuesday.

The father is 32-year-old fashion model Gabriel Aubry, who has been at the actress’ side for almost two years.
The baby is expected in March 2008.
“Yes, I am three months pregnant,” Berry confirmed in an interview.
“Gabriel and I are beyond excited and I’ve waited a long time for this moment in my life. Now the next… months will be the longest of my life!”
Berry, who had previously been married to baseball star David Justice and the singer Eric Benet, has long spoken of her desire to have a child, although she never plans to wed again.
“I will never, never get married again,” the ‘X-Men’ actress said earlier this year in an interview with InStyle magazine.
“Actually, it’s just that now I’ve come to a place where I think two people can share their lives without the ring, without the piece of paper.”
But she added: “I definitely want children. Very much.”
“I want my kids to realise it’s only through hard work that any success or real joy comes. It’s not about money; it’s the intangible rewards — having integrity and doing what you say you’re going to do.”
Berry and Aubry met in November 2005 while shooting an advert for Versace. They first confirmed their relationship in February 2006 when they attended the New York opening of a Versace boutique.
Following Berry’s announcement — made via email to Nancy O’Dell of ‘Access Hollywood’ — reports surfaced that production of her upcoming film ‘Tulia’ has been postponed.
The John Singleton film, which was due to begin shooting in October, re-teams Berry with ‘Monster’s Ball’ co-star Billy Bob Thornton.
