As part of the publicity and promotion for Piolo Pascual’s latest television series, the Pinoy adaptation of the hit Koreanovela ‘Lovers in Paris’ with mega-daughter KC Concepcion, he dished about his latest TV and movie projects, his newest album, and future plans as a producer. Check out the interview below as Piolo talks about his career and personal life.

On his new album that’s releasing in October 2009: “Halfway through na ‘yung album. It’s an all revival album. My last album was an all original. I remember when I was a kid ang unang unang song na na-memorize ko was ‘Strangers in the Night’ ni Frank Sinatra. Kasama rin ‘yung ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ na ni-record ko as theme song ng Maruja. The album is going to come out hopefully this October. I’m very excited because popular songs ‘yung mga pinili namin and they are very nice to listen to.”
On the Aquino family’s choice that he plays the role of Ninoy in the planned Cory biopic: “Dream role para sa akin ‘yung Ninoy project. Ngayong naririnig ko all these talks about me portraying Ninoy in a movie, napapa-wow na lang ako. ‘Yun na siguro ang pinaka-challenging role na ipo-portray ko sa buong career ko as an actor.”
On his desire to star in a horror movie: “I’ve been wanting to do a horror story, be it on TV or movie. Sana one of these days makagawa ako.”
On his plans to produce more movies after Manila and Kimmy Dora: “Marami akong gustong i-produce na pelikula. Like Kimmy Dora, it’s a comedy na mae-enjoy ng marami. But the comedy was given a different twist, hindi lang siya basta slapstick. Gusto ko rin magpaka-experimental pero I still want to be on the safe side. Makakagawa ka ng magandang movie at the same time you will also earn.”
