Why Mega Manila?
According to TNS Trends TV Household Establishment Survey, Mega Manila TV households comprise 51% of the Total Urban TV households in the country. Urban Luzon, where the Network is also competitive in ratings, comprises 74% of the Total Urban Philippines TV households. Visayas and Mindanao urban TV households share the remaining 26%.
And if you know advertising, what matters big time is still Mega Manila. That’s why GMA still leads ABS-CBN in ad minutes.
According to a household survey conducted by TNS Trends among CDE households during the last quarter of 2006, which covers the combined areas of Mega Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao, GMA is the most regularly watched TV channel with 70% regular viewership of the Kapuso channel on weekdays and 55% on weekends.
GMA Network also got a 70% trust rating while its News & Public Affairs Programs got a very high 81% credibility rating in NCR based on a survey conducted by Pulse Asia in 2006.

As Quiogue notes, “The trade launch was a success. It generated goodwill.”
He cites data from the Ad Quest Top 10 Advertisers by Advertising Minutes ), which show that seven out of 10 TV advertisers place more minutes in GMA as their preferred partner.
Quiogue says that GMA, as the leader in Mega Manila, enjoys advertising support where it matters: The center of trade and commerce.
“The sales come from Manila and Luzon. That’s what’s important,” he explains. “And top advertisers with the most sophisticated planning tools choose to buy in GMA. This calls for a celebration.”
Quiogue expects much better times ahead by the first quarter of 2008, when he predicts GMA will take the lead nationwide. By then, he explains, the network would have fixed its signals in Bacolod, Naga, Dagupan, Zamboanga and all the other areas in the provinces.
GMA, he adds, is also ready to go digital, with its engineering department fixing the nuts and bolts for this one big step towards better service

Sa ABS b galing ang NUTAM
eh another expansion ng AGB Nielsen ang NUTAM..
BOBO kau mga kapuso!
October 10th, 2007 at 1:19 am
Kahit ano pang explanasyon ang sabihin ng iba diyan, it all depends on AGB Nielsen - NUTAM.
October 10th, 2007 at 1:24 am
Pero as I know, it only includes some towns and cities of Bulacan, Rizal, and Cavite.
October 12th, 2007 at 3:25 am
Kapamilya accepts its defeat in mega manila ratings, AGB yan galing.

October 15th, 2007 at 5:49 pm

Kahit ma-promote pa ang isang employee as vice-president ng isang company because of his/her efforts, hindi siya pwede pang maging president. Hanggang dun na lang siya not unless the president will die and he was chosen to take his place. Pero for now, hanngang SECOND place na lang siya. OK BA?
Ganun din between a teacher and a student. Pwedeng maging best in class ang isang student. Pwedeng mas marami siyang alam than the teacher on some areas of his/her interest. Pero kahit ano pang mangyari, a student is still a student and is still under the authority or custody of his/her teacher.
October 15th, 2007 at 8:03 pm
October 15th, 2007 at 8:05 pm
October 16th, 2007 at 4:10 pm
If you agree with his/her explanation, then you accept na humahabol ang GMA at ang panalo talaga ay ang ABS-CBN. Tama ako diba?
October 16th, 2007 at 8:05 pm
kapamilya-2
>>>yup…number 1 talaga ang ABS-CBN all over the world…at ang GMA humahabol ngayon…like what I’ve said nga sa ratings 1 digit na lng yan…dati kc laging 2 digit ang agwat ng ABS sa GMA…btw its a good competition naman…sana lang walang mangyari na di ka aya aya…sabihin na natin na mayaman ang ABS at dinadala nila ito sa pera…meaning the higher the TF, the more the stars…ang GMA…alam nating medyo pulubi…pero yayaman din yan kasi maraming advertisers ngayon ang mga GMA dahil nga number 1 cla sa mega manila…well, we’ll see it pag pareho na clang digitalized….
October 20th, 2007 at 10:32 pm
kala ko ba, hindi nagsisinungaling ang gma. eto na ang pruweba. abs-cbn ang no.1 & yet kini-claim nila, cla no. 1. kahit na sabihin nila sa advertisement nilang sa mega manila cla no. 1, kasinungalingan pa rin yun. that is a sin of omission. they are omitting the real score. kaya to gma_rules, yang nutam na yan, yan din ang nutam survey na ginagamit ng paborito mong gma. kaya lang nga, di nila magawang sabihin sa inyong mga blind followers nila na totoong talo cla. nabubulagan na kc kayo. open your eyes. they resort to too much publicity kaya nabe-brainwash nila kau. im not a solid kapamilya either kc i know what i want in a show.
